FRUIT FIRST HERE'S WHY
Fruit is one of the fastest digesting foods. We don't want anything interfering with our digestion of fruit. For example.... say we eat a complex carb or something high in fat like an avocado before we eat our fruit, the fruit will finish digesting first but won't be able to leave our stomach because the complex carb is still getting digested, causing the sugars in the fruit to ferment leading to multiple DIGESTIVE ISSUES such as bloating and gas. Another notable reason to eat fruit first thing in the morning is to extract the MAXIMUM amount of nutrients and vitamins. Eating fruit on an empty stomach will allow our bodies to extract all of the nutrients the food has to offer. The third reason this is important is for HYDRATION. Most of us don't drink water during our 8 hours of sleep so we wake up in the morning DEHYDRATED. Our food takes up about 20% of our water intake of the day so making sure we are eating hydrating foods that will lead to a variety of BENEFITS such as skin, hair, and weight loss.
